HARVEST

21 Days of Yoga with Ciara

October 1–21, 2026
A journey into tending, continuity, choice and the long game.

October is harvest time.

Apples on the trees. Vegetables coming from the garden. The visible fruits of things that were planted and tended many months ago.

It has me thinking about HARVEST in our own lives.

So much of what surrounds us today has grown through small things repeated over time. Our friendships, our homes, our work, our strength, our movement practices, the way we care for our animals, our families, our gardens, ourselves.

There is something quite extraordinary about the compound effect of ordinary daily actions.

If I want tomatoes in August, I need to begin months earlier. I plant the seed. Water it. Give it light. Pot it on. Keep an eye on it. Most days, what I do is tiny. Then one day, I’m standing in the greenhouse picking tomatoes.

I love that as an image for this October practice.

What we sow and tend, we eventually get to harvest.

And this brings us into choice, tending and possibility.

What would I like to harvest in the future?

What do I want to give my time and energy to?

What small things can I tend today that might grow into something over the coming months or years?

There is power in recognising that the present moment is also part of something longer. Things we began in the past are bearing fruit now, while the choices we make today are quietly becoming part of our future.

Over these 21 days, our yoga practice becomes part of that tending.

Twenty minutes each morning.

Turning up.

Moving.

Listening.

Repeating.

Some mornings will feel wonderful. Some mornings we’ll simply get onto the mat and do what we can. The continuity itself matters. Small actions gather. They build upon each other.

Alongside our yoga, I’d like to add a very simple daily HARVEST practice.

Each day, notice one good thing in your life that you have cultivated.

It might be a friendship you have nurtured for years. A garden you’ve tended. The way you care for your home. Your relationship with your children or family. An animal you love and look after. Your work. Your health. Your morning walk. A skill you’ve learned. A practice you’ve returned to hundreds of times.

Pause long enough to recognise:

I tended this.
I gave something to this.
And this is part of my harvest.

Then perhaps we can gently look forward.

What would I like to grow from here?

We don’t need twenty new habits or enormous resolutions. We can choose something that matters and begin tending it through small, repeated actions.

Recognise what is here.
Choose what you want to grow.
Tend it.
Give it time.

Twenty-one days won’t grow the whole garden.

But we can plant something.

We can water something already growing.

We can strengthen the habits and practices that are already bearing fruit.

And perhaps October can be a month for appreciating just how much we have already grown.
